Having been involved with a number of nonprofits, what separates the ToolBank for me is that it not only provides a much-needed service to the community, but also provides a way for volunteers to be involved in providing that service. Since I’ve been a member of the Atlanta ToolBank board, I’ve been extremely impressed with the very practical need this organization provides to the Atlanta community. The Toolbank is a nonprofit with tangible purpose that allows its volunteers to see the change that they are actually bringing to the community. National expansion is only the logical next step for the ToolBank model.

I joined the board of ToolBank USA because I believe any city can benefit from a ToolBank which allows community organizations to serve more people with fewer resources – something desperately needed in difficult economic times.
