The ToolBank premise - putting tools into the hands of volunteers, is an easy concept for me to understand. Providing efficient access to basic yet crucial resources empowers other non-profit organizations to be more efficient. By keeping it simple, I believe ToolBank will leverage the power of our communities. I look forward to supporting ToolBank’s potential.

Since learning about the ToolBank and its commitment to advancing the mission of other community and charitable organizations, I have been excited to be a part of the growth and expansion of this model nationally. I have been involved with other nonprofits in the past, but when I visited the Atlanta ToolBank facility and understood the mission, I was sold. UPS has a good history with ToolBank, and I want to continue the great partnership between our two organizations, to meet a great need.

The ToolBank is an unique organization that helps build our communities and makes them better places to live, work, and play. We can leverage donors donations like no other organization can, saving other non-profits significant amounts of fund by using our low cost tools, which in turn saves funds that they can then use for their own missions. We are a win-win organization.

I find the idea of one 501(c)(3) helping other 501(c)(3)s intriguing. My legal focus is on franchising, and an affiliation with ToolBank USA's board will provide me with inspiration to encourage other 501(c)(3)s to use the franchise model to expand their concepts.

ToolBank is a true inspiration and I believe it embodies the fabric of what makes our country so great. In a time where traditional personal relationships are in a constant battle against the anonymity and distance of the internet and social media, ToolBank brings us back to the fundamental values that people thrive on including community connections, personal relationships and lending a helping hand to neighbors and friends in need.
President, Global Consumer
During the early development of the Baltimore Community ToolBank, I had the opportunity to speak with many corporations, foundations and non-profit organizations about the mission and objectives of ToolBank USA. Every time, leaders could clearly see how impactful the ToolBank would be in their community, serving as a key partner and leading the charge for an increased level of volunteerism in the community. Every time I told the story of what the ToolBank would soon offer in Baltimore I grew prouder of being a part of the team. Having seen the impact firsthand, I'm excited to help grow the ToolBank movement across the United States.

One of the sustaining keys to strengthening our country is the willingness of Americans to invest their time and energy into physically caring for communities. ToolBanks help enable the fulfillment of that worthy cause, so I’m excited about supporting the continued expansion of the ToolBank network to impact lives across the country.

The ToolBank is an important vehicle for connecting communities and empowering both teams and individuals to maximize the impact of their volunteer efforts. I’ve seen the ToolBank support volunteers in service across the country, from service projects with Team Depot, our associate-led volunteer force, to neighborhood clean-ups. The Home Depot has been an integral investor in ToolBank USA since its inception, and I am very excited to have a role in the amazing ToolBank movement and how we impact volunteerism nationwide.
